L.A. Colors ‘Color Craze’ Nail Polish Review, Photos & Swatches

I came across this beautiful set of L.A. Colors Nail Polish as I walked around the beauty department in H-E-B, my local grocery store. I couldn’t help but to get it because most of the the colors in the set were so fun and extremely bright, I couldn’t take my eyes off of them. It was retailing at $5.00 USD for the set of 7 colors so I really couldn’t pass it up.

LA Color Nail Polish

When I swatched them, I noticed that they first apply very sheer (picture shown below) but with a few coats, they are true to color. As with any nail polish, applying a top coat will help the polish last longer and I highly suggest it if you’d like your manicure to last longer.

*Just a side note: I apologize for having no color names attached to the individual polishes. I looked everywhere to find color names…and I found nothing. A HUGE THANK YOU and SHOUT OUT to Orchid at Pounds4Polish for clarifying the color names for me.

For the price of these nail polishes, I’m pretty content with them. Though I have never tried any L.A. Color Nail Polishes in the past, I didn’t have any sort of expectations for these before hand. Based off of their packaging, these nail polishes are said to be, “high-impact nail colors, long-wearing with extreme shine, and toluene, formaldehyde & DBP free.”

First off, I love the fact that these nail polishes are toluene, formaldehyde & DBP free. I give a lot of credit to LA Colors for that since those chemicals are very toxic for our health. In my opinion, the polishes were not as high-impact in color as it claims to be. The nail polishes obviously needed a few coats to appear true to their color as you saw in the first swatch picture above. They were not long-wearing but the shine on these are incredible without a top coat as you can see in the swatches above.

Overall, the quality of these nail polishes were okay for the price. The price is, of course, unbeatable but I don’t think I’ll repurchase these again. I would spend a little more money on other brands for the quality of the polishes.

Have you tried any LA Colors Nail Polishes? What was your experience like when you tried them?

SUMMARY

Price: Approximately $5.00 USD for a set of 7 (not sure how much they would retail individually)

Availability: LA Colors or check your local drugstores that carry LA Colors

Overall:Β You get what you pay for! This set was extremely affordable but needed a few coats to get my desired color pay off. The color selection is pretty amazing…they are fun and bright and full of personality. I found it a plus that LA Colors formulated these nail polishes without harsh chemicals. Let me know your experience with LA Colors if you decide to give them a try.

wow! all those colors looks so very nice! Esp the METALLIC SILVER looks very good!

I bought this too. The colours are very dull for me without a bottom coat, and the blue was very dark, unlike your picture. I love the orange, but the blue and purple really put me off. They definitely need 2 or more coats though.
